The Girls Club took me back to my own days of “coming out”: not the characters or setting, but the memories of my own process became vivid and suddenly in my face. I loved this book! Sally’s book family was much more fun and delightful than mine, so I’ll live vicariously through hers. That’s what good writing often does, is it not?
